To be honest, homeschooling with 4 boys, 8 and under = stressful times.

The autism conversation requires much nuance. We will never find the one thing that causes it because for most children, it isn’t just ONE smoking gun. It’s the accumulation of multiple contributing factors. Yes Tylenol can play a big role (if you want to know how, I’m happy to share), but I think it was a bit of a scapegoat because there is SO much more to it.

Some think this recent announcement is a huge win and validation. Others are still frustrated by it- leaving many unanswered questions.

And you should be allowed to ask those questions…
I think it’s important that we do.

We should be able to look into environmental, biological, and societal changes without being silenced or politicized. It’s out of love for these families and deep concern for the health of humanity as a whole.

Maybe we should ask- why did Tylenol state that they don’t recommend using any of their products while pregnant, yet doctors are recommending them to pregnant women? Are we really getting the full truth or informed consent when we step into doctors offices?

Collectively, we need to do better on both “sides” of this. Also, please stop popping Tylenol just because your hate for a man or party runs deep.

• Seed oils are extremely high in omega-6 fatty acids, which in excess promote inflammation in the body.
• A disrupted omega-6 to omega-3 ratio has been linked to chronic issues like:
• Hormonal imbalances
• Autoimmunity
• Infertility
• Heart disease

2. They’re Highly Processed and Often Rancid
• The refining process uses high heat and chemicals that damage the fats and create oxidized lipids.
• These oxidized fats can damage cells, DNA, and mitochondria over time.

3. Contribute to Metabolic Dysfunction
• Studies link excess seed oil consumption with insulin resistance, weight gain, and thyroid suppression.
• They’re often found in ultra-processed foods, fast foods, and even “healthy” snacks.

If I could go back in time and do it all over, I would. I guess Im still working on forgiving myself in many areas.

Eggshells are made almost entirely of calcium carbonate, which is exactly what makes up our nails, teeth, and bones. They’re also loaded with protein, magnesium, selenium, strontium, and other compounds that are said to be good for bones and joints. Because they’re a whole food (not an artificial supplement), it’s easier for our bodies to absorb and assimilate the nutrients found in eggshells.

Consume 1/2 teaspoon daily for about 400-500 mg of bioavailable calcium (feel free to tweak your daily intake depending on your specific needs and recommendations from a healthcare provider). Store in an airtight jar in a cool, dry cupboard for up to a month.

Some days I have multiple heart attacks. Some days I’m just completely unfazed. Maybe it depends on which child we’re talking about 😅

With him, I knew he could do this and instead of yelling at him to get down I just let him. And he was so proud of himself (as was I). Sometimes it’s hard to watch, but he knows his boundaries and gained more confidence through it. Thoroughly impressed by his athleticism 😎

Mood swings, fatigue, cravings, and painful periods aren’t just “part of being a woman”

They’re often signs that your gut is out of balance.

Your gut and hormones are deeply connected. The microbiome helps regulate estrogen, cortisol, and even neurotransmitters like serotonin.

When the gut is overwhelmed with invasive overgrowths, inflammation takes over, the gut-brain connection becomes blurry, and the immune system starts misfiring- showing up as allergies, autoimmunity, mental health issues, hormonal imbalances etc.

Now this is why I believe in functional lab testing! This was me time and time again even though I knew I still felt off.

So what’s the difference? It’s all in the ranges and focus.

»Conventional lab ranges are designed to detect disease using a much larger range and in an average for the population (and in a sick population). It also typically focuses on just one aspect or system of the body. In my experience, it just misses the mark and isn’t as comprehensive.

»Functional lab testing uses a much smaller range for what is considered OPTIMAL health. So the markers they missed in the conventional test, might show up as “out of range” in a functional test- giving some real insight. It has the ability to look at the entire body to see how it is functioning as a unit of complex systems, which is exactly what the body is…connected in one system.

This type of outlook gives me a much bigger picture of what’s going on in the body, which then allows me to create a comprehensive treatment plan and lifestyle changes that will actually make an impact- rather than trying to treat one or two symptoms.
